Connect Appointments have an exciting new opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join our clients Finance Team in Musselburgh, on a permanent contract.
Working as an Accounts Assistant:
- Monday to Friday (37.5 hours)
- Working hours are office hours
- 25,000 to 29,000 per annum
As an Accounts Assistant your role will involve providing sales, invoicing and customer account management support to our clients Finance Team. Where your duties will include:
- Daily/weekly/monthly invoicing; sending to customers in a timely manner
- Checking purchase orders are accurate
- Contacting customers by phone/email to answer queries and obtain missing information
- Maintaining and updating sales and customer records
- Compiling monthly sales reports
- Taking credit card payments, and processing new Direct Debit Mandates
- Directing feedback from customers to relevant departments
- Supporting the sales and finance department with other administrative tasks (as needed)
To be successful in this accounting role you will have previous experience in a financial position. Combined with the following skills and traits:
- Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills
- Advanced knowledge of administrative record-keeping
- Familiarity with sales reports and sales records
- Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
