You will provide supervisory support and guidance to a small team of legal cashiers and offer assistance to the head cashier, ensuring a high level of departmental service is provided.
This is an ideal role for a finance assistant with legal experience or a legal cashier seeking a progression opportunity.

Job
The role of Senior Legal Cashier will give you the opportunity to be involved with the following:
- Leading and overseeing a small team of Cashroom staff
- Serving as Deputy to the Head Cashier, taking charge when necessary
- Training, mentoring, and supervising the Cashroom team to ensure high performance
- Ensuring adherence to the Law Society of Scotland and SRA Accounts Rules
- Managing and updating data within the firm’s Practice Management System
- Providing audit evidence and ensuring compliance in handling client funds
- Proactively identifying and managing risks, with regular reporting
- Creating and documenting efficient processes and procedures
- Promoting efficiencies and driving continuous improvement within the team
You
As a Senior Legal Cashier you will be skilled &/or qualified in the following:
- Extensive experience in a legal Cashroom setting
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
- Strong expertise in financial systems and data reconciliation
- Proficient in using Practice Management Systems
- In-depth knowledge of Law Society of Scotland and SRA Accounts Rules
- Exceptional organisational and staff management capabilities
- Ability to work autonomously and navigate complex challenges
- Strong sense of professional responsibility and integrity
