I am working with an Edinburgh based client to source an Interim Head of Housing for an expected duration of 6 months. Please note that experience of managing teams within a Housing Association or Local Authority for 5 years plus is required to hit the ground running in this role. The salary will be circa £58-63kThe role can be worked on a Hybrid basis (2 days in Edinburgh office and the rest from home) and will require some travel within Scotland when required.Purpose: The purpose of the role is to lead the housing services team to ensure delivery of excellent housing management and customer services, to achieve high satisfaction and business performance, and to help people live independently in their neighbourhoods.To work collaboratively with other senior colleagues, staff and partner organisations to deliver the business plan and strategic objectives.To contribute to the overall corporate management of the Association as a member of the Senior Management Team. This includes advising the Chief Executive and Board and develop strategies and service plans on all aspects of housing, landlord and customer services to ensure high standards and best practice.

Some accountabilities are (but not limited to):

  • Lead the development and delivery of high-quality tenancy management, income and neighbourhood services across the organisation, to ensure an excellent landlord service.
  • Work collaboratively with Senior colleagues to develop strategies and service plans to help people live independently.
  • Ensure compliance and best practice with the Scottish Social Housing Charter outcomes.
  • Lead and direct high quality customer contact management, through the Customer Services Manager, of the Customer Services Team, and development of IT systems, to ensure high performance on first time call resolution, and excellence in customer experience.
  • Ensure that all service quality, business performance KPIs and financial targets are met, with a focus on continuous improvement and seeking top quartile performance in peer group.
