Sonic Summary

One of our public sector clients is seeking an AWS Software Developer to join their IT department.
The position requires significant commercial experience with AWS technologies, Typescript or modern JavaScript, and Vanilla ReactJS or NextJS.
Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience in software development and Agile delivery models.
This is a 6-month contract with a day-rate of approximately £450, which is outside IR35.
The role is primarily remote, but occasional presence in the Edinburgh or Glasgow office may be required.

One of our public sector clients is seeking an AWS Software Developer to join their IT department,You will have the following skills and experience:Significant commercial experience with the following technology:

AWS including: CDK, Serverless (Lambda), S3, API Gateway, Cloud Formation, AWS RDS for Postgres
Typescript (or modern JavaScript) and Node.
Vanilla ReactJS and/or NextJS.
Java and SpringBoot.
Design and implementation of solutions using a service-based and serverless architecture.
Experience working in the Agile delivery models - such as Scrum and/or Kanban frameworks.
Developing within GDS or Digital First (or similar) quality standards
Cloud monitoring, telemetry, intelligence tools and processes
Formal XP engineering techniques, including Pair Programming and Test Driven Development
Defining infrastructure-as-code

Commercial experience of the following would be a bonus:

Human-centred, research-driven, inclusive design practices
Testing tools and frameworks, e.g. Cypress
Use of UI pattern libraries to achieve consistent, tested and high-quality interfaces

This is a 6-month contract (likely extensions). You will be working remotely, but may be required in the Edinburgh/ Glasgow office on occasion. Day-rate on offer is OUTSIDE ir35 circa £450
