Sonic Summary

We are looking for an experienced AWS Platform Developer to design, build, and support full-stack services for software delivery.
The position focuses on enhancing the RoS AWS Platform and requires proven experience in full-stack development and AWS expertise.
Candidates should have strong knowledge of React and experience with Infrastructure as Code, as well as automated testing for AWS environments.
The role offers a competitive salary of $120,000 per year and requires at least 5 years of relevant experience.

We are seeking an experienced AWS Platform Developer to design, build, and support full-stack services for software delivery. The focus will be on developing and enhancing the RoS AWS Platform.Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and support platform services, including libraries (CDK constructs) and vended services to enable platform features.
Collaborate with Product Teams to ensure best practices in developing, testing, deploying, and supporting AWS-based products.
Create accessible user interfaces using React while aligning with GDS principles where applicable.
Develop APIs with clear specifications to support sustainable product development.

Key Skills & Experience Required

Full-Stack Development: Proven experience in designing and building working software solutions and deploying to cloud environments using PaaS and SaaS.
AWS Expertise: Proficient in AWS Serverless and cloud-native architecture, CI/CD methodology, and native AWS CI/CD tools.
React Development: Strong knowledge of JavaScript UI frameworks, specifically React.
Infrastructure as Code: Experience defining infrastructure and processes as code.
Testing & Automation: Knowledge of automated testing for AWS environments and build processes.
Innovative Mindset: Ability to introduce efficient processes or concepts within the AWS ecosystem.
Collaborative Approach: Work effectively with business stakeholders to deliver value-driven solutions.

Desirable Attributes

Familiarity with producing accessible UI in line with GDS standards.
Previous experience working as part of a community of developers consuming platform services.
