We're looking for a dedicated yard assistant to support operations in our Edinburgh yard, ensuring efficient stock movement, maintaining site safety, and providing excellent service to customers and colleagues.
What you'll do:
- Assist with loading, unloading, and organising stock in the yard.
- Ensure the yard is kept clean, tidy, and safe at all times.
- Support customers and drivers with collections and deliveries.
- Check and maintain stock levels, reporting any discrepancies.
- Operate forklifts and other machinery where required
- Follow health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience in a similar yard or warehouse role is preferred.
- Forklift experience with licence essential.
- Strong teamwork skills and a proactive attitude.
- Good physical fitness to manage manual handling tasks.
- Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Commitment to maintaining high health and safety standards.
