Our client has multiple offices across the UK, with the position of Tax Assistant to be based out of their Edinburgh office.The Firm:This firm specializes in offering expert legal and tax guidance to high-net-worth individuals and their families. Their clientele includes entrepreneurs, landowners, agricultural professionals, philanthropists, charitable organisations, and trustees. Many of their clients are well-known figures with intricate and confidential financial and legal matters, often involving sensitive topics such as ownership, governance, inheritance, and guardianship.With a strong focus on tailored, practical solutions, they deliver strategic advice rooted in a deep understanding of their clients' needs, values, and long-term objectives. Their expertise spans asset protection, real estate, family law, employment regulations, estate planning, and charity law, providing hands-on guidance to business owners and family enterprises.Role Overview:As a Tax Assistant you will prepare and complete Personal, Trust and Estate Return forms and provide advice and assistance to clients and trustees in relation to Income Tax and Capital Gains tax matters.You will ensure correct tax returns are prepared and submitted to HMRC within time limits. This will include preparing returns for individuals, trusts, estates, and charities.Experience required:
- Previous tax administration or experience in a similar role is required and knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages is essential.
- Strong processing skills, be numeric and a high degree of accuracy is essential. You are expected to be a strong team player who also has the ability to work on their own initiative with minimum supervision.
- ATT qualified or currently studying the ATT but this is not essential. (There is the opportunity to undertake professional tax qualifications.)
