Warehouse Operative
- Hourly Rate: £13ph
- Location: Edinburgh
- Job Type: Full-time (40 hours per week)
- Driving Licence: Valid licence with no points (Preferred)
Reed Recruitment are seeking a diligent Warehouse Operative to join our client's team in Edinburgh. The role involves maintaining high standards within our warehouse, ensuring efficient and safe movement of goods. This position requires a team player who can handle the demands of a busy seasonal business with variable opening hours.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Support e-commerce operations including picking, packing, and dispatching orders.
- Accurately pick items from stock for dispatch to stores and customers, ensuring quality checks and correct packing.
- Process shipping labels for couriers such as Royal Mail and FedEx.
- Drive the company van for deliveries and stock reloading to stores, if holding a clean licence.
- Barcode and record stock accurately for effective stock control.
- Maintain health and safety standards within the warehouse.
- Check deliveries and report any discrepancies to supervisors or management.
- Complete all tasks and general warehouse duties promptly.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in a busy warehouse environment, picking and packing orders to a timed schedule.
- Good numeracy, literacy, and computing skills.
- Strong attention to detail and self-organisational abilities.
- Self-motivated and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent stamina and enthusiasm.
- Polite, professional, and helpful demeanour.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing work hours.
- Effective communication skills.
