General Overview:
Our client is recruiting for a position in their Electrical Inspection & Testing Team.
To report directly to the Site T&I Supervisor with responsibility for the day to day operation of the electrical testing and inspection contract, including development of the contract.
To operate and maintain the plant at the sites identified above in line with existing procedures, thereby fulfilling site health, safety, environmental, quality and customer service targets. This will include identifying areas for continual improvement.
To ensure that all works under his/her control are effectively carried out to ensure that any third-party contractors who carry out work on the site do so in a safe and professional manner and abide by the relevant Company Procedures and site specific procedures where applicable.
To follow the company procedures and standards as expressed in the Company Handbooks
To complete all administrative functions correctly and efficiently, either paper logbooks or by using appropriate IT software.
To become fully familiar with all Company and CCEP site procedures, which affect the contract and carry out all responsibilities detailed in the EMS.
To represent the Company well to customers and external agencies, by reasonable dress and demeanour and ensure the site and all Company property are maintained in a clean and tidy condition.
To maintain a good working relationship with customer representatives and work in a manner which ensures that all aspects of the service agreement between company and the customer are delivered with the requisite levels of professionalism.
Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality
Part responsible for the SHEQ performance of site. Duties include:
- Ensure that works are conducted in line with Company Safe Systems of Work and the site Permit to Work system, ensuring adequate procedures and processes are in place.
- Work with the Site Supervisor/Manager to ensure the contract delivery
Operational Responsibilities
Provide input into and management of the planned maintenance schedule, ensuring associated work tasks are completed in accordance with the agreed PPM planner, SLA and KPI targets.
Complete PPM and reactive works activities in accordance with contract requirements.
Supervise works carried out by specialist sub-contractors, reporting anomalies to the Contract Supervisor / Site Management.
Work with Site Manager to identify obsolete and end-of-life-cycle equipment for input into the forward maintenance plan and updating of the asset register
Be aware of and have good working understanding and practical hands-on input regarding control of legionella and associated required works.
Fulfilling site health, safety and environmental, quality and customer service targets.
Ensuring the safe and efficient operation of existing plant and equipment
Safely and efficiently maintaining & installing
To attend site in response to breakdowns or failures of the equipment outside of normal working hours (call outs).
To be familiar with and understand the site contingency plans for dealing with emergency situations.
To conform to Company standards, rules and procedures.
To carry out scheduled Electrical testing and Inspection maintenance tasks including but not limited to Emergency Lighting, ECIR, Illumination Levels, Infra-Red, Motors, PAT, Static Discharge, Lightening Protection.
To ensure that all third-party contractors that are requested to carry out work on site, do so in a safe and professional manner
To assist in producing Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
To report all incidents and accidents, including near misses to the Site Manager
To complete all administrative functions correctly and promptly.
To be aware of the key financial targets for the site
To seek opportunities to enhance the Company's relationship with its existing customers
Qualifications or Required Experience:
Apprenticeship, primary trade qualifications and substantial experience within a building services and manufacturing environment
- ECS Gold Card Installation Electrician (Essential)
- C&G 2391, or equivalent Testing & Inspection (Essential)
- 18th Edition Electrical Qualification (Essential)
- CMMS (SAM FM) (Desirable)
- HND/HNC Electrical Qualification (Desirable)
- ISOH/Safety Passport (Desirable)
