This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience supporting children with ASD, ADHD, or communication difficulties, who wants to work in a setting designed to meet the needs of children with additional learning challenges.
The Role:
- Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN Unit).
- Salary: 80-100 per day, depending on experience.
- Location: Enfield, North London.
- Start Date: Immediate.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work in a small, well-equipped SEN unit, supporting children with varied learning and sensory needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and small group support in a structured SEN setting.
- Assist with learning activities, using adapted teaching techniques to support engagement.
- Implement speech & language interventions and sensory-based activities.
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and the SENCO to provide consistent support.
- Help create a calm and structured learning environment for all pupils.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or similar role.
- A caring, patient, and adaptable approach to supporting children with SEN.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Experience with speech & language support, sensory strategies, or behaviour management is an advantage.
