Overview:

We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Team Leader to join our compassionate team. This is a full-time role, working day shifts (7am-7pm, 3-4 shifts per week), including alternate weekends and participation in an on-call weekend rota. The care home provides personal, nursing, and dementia care for up to 49 residents in a purpose-built but homely environment with beautiful garden areas.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide strong leadership and support to the care team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to residents.
  • Foster residents' independence with a focus on choice, dignity, and respect while promoting physical and emotional wellbeing.
  • Lead the team during shifts, ensuring a cohesive and effective working environment.
  • Administer medication and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Support carers in providing personal care and assistance with daily activities, such as washing, dressing, and eating.
  • Promote person-centred care, ensuring residents' preferences and needs are always respected.
Requirements:
  • Relevant professional qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care).
  • At least one year of experience in a residential or nursing home setting.
  • Awareness of person-centred care planning principles and safeguarding procedures.
  • Full driving licence.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, with strong leadership and communication skills.
