he Role: Customs Clearance Clerk (Egham/ Hybrid)

As a Customs Clearance Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient clearance of goods through customs procedures. You will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and laws relating to import and export activities.

Your attention to detail and strong organisational skills will be crucial as you handle documentation, communicate with customs authorities, and ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and on time. Job Responsibilities

  • Preparation of Customs documentation to ensure that any shipments imported meet all applicable laws so that entry can occur.
  • Issuing the correct documents on behalf of the customer to ensure that customs are cleared in a timely and efficient manner allowing shipments to continue their journey.
  • You will receive experience of working within a customs team environment with a basic understanding of the law and regulations surrounding Customs Clearance and Port Health requirements/ IPAFFS.
  • The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines whilst working effectively under their own initiative with a flexible adaptable approach.
  • Computer literate with a use of various systems including Microsoft excel, Outlook and Teams.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients.
  • Stay updated on customs regulations and industry trends.

Requirements

  • Proven experience working in customs clearance or a related field
  • Proficient in customs clearance procedures and documentation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

The Package

  • Salary £28,000 - £33,000 (full time equivalent)
  • Initially training will start in the office
