We have taken another role brief for an existing client of ours and they are currently looking for a Health and Safety Advisor to join their business. Hours: The hours will be between Monday - Friday 7.30am - 4pm

Job description
- Develop, review, and implement health and safety policies and procedures to meet legal and organisational standards across all sites in London.
- Maintain and update the company’s health and safety management system in line with current legislation.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments for various work activities and environments.
- Lead and assist in internal safety audits and inspections to evaluate compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Ensure full compliance with UK Health and Safety Executive (HSE) guidelines, COSHH, RIDDOR, and other relevant safety regulations.
- Monitor legislative changes and ensure the company adheres to any updates in health and safety law.
- Maintain accurate records of all health and safety documentation, such as safety data sheets, incident reports, and training logs.
- Prepare and submit detailed incident reports for management, ensuring all incidents are properly documented and reported to the relevant authorities as per legal requirements.
- Develop, implement, and periodically test emergency response procedures, including fire drills, first aid responses, and evacuation plans.
- Ensure that all staff are familiar with emergency protocols and are properly trained to act in case of an emergency.
Key requirements
- Construction industry experience
- Experience with a HSEQ management system.
- Experience in the maintenance of ISO 9001 and 14001 certification.
- NEBOSH qualification
- IOSH and experience with ISO / CHAS desirable.
- Computer literate.
- Driving license.
