Job description
- Working closely with the Contract Manager, you will be responsible for a variety of purchasing and procurement duties to support with the buying of material goods for the business.
- Ensure quality, price, and availability are aligned with project timelines and budgets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiate terms, prices, and delivery schedules to secure favorable agreements.
- Identify and onboard new suppliers to improve procurement options.
- Monitor and manage procurement budgets, ensuring cost savings without compromising quality.
- Provide regular reports on spending, savings, and supplier performance.
- Coordinate with site managers and project teams to ensure materials are delivered on time and in full.
- Manage stock levels to avoid shortages and delays.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.
- Maintain accurate procurement records.
- Cultivate relationships with key suppliers
- Ensure all documentation is collated and stored in line with company policies.
- Carry out any reasonable request of a similar nature as directed by Senior Management.
Key skills
- Buying experience with understanding of BQQs, budgets and drawings.
- Purchasing and procurement knowledge including process management.
- Organised with good attention to detail.
- Team player.
- Ability to prioritise workload.
