Product Design/DT Teacher - Independent School - September 2025
The Role
We are looking for a dedicated Product Design Teacher with a strong background in design, innovation, and technology. The successful candidate will:
- Teach Product Design across the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP).
- Develop and deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons that encourage students to think creatively and critically.
- Support students in practical, hands-on design projects using modern technology and traditional materials.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive classroom environment that nurtures curiosity and problem-solving skills.
- Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and interdisciplinary projects.

Candidate Requirements
- A relevant degree in Product Design, Design & Technology, or a related field.
- Recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
- Experience teaching IB MYP/DP Product Design or equivalent curricula preferred.
- Strong knowledge of design software, digital fabrication, and prototyping tools.
- A commitment to student-centered learning and inquiry-based teaching methods.
- Ability to inspire and engage students with a passion for design and innovation.
