Product Design/DT Teacher - Independent School - September 2025

The Role

We are looking for a dedicated Product Design Teacher with a strong background in design, innovation, and technology. The successful candidate will:

  • Teach Product Design across the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP).
  • Develop and deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons that encourage students to think creatively and critically.
  • Support students in practical, hands-on design projects using modern technology and traditional materials.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive classroom environment that nurtures curiosity and problem-solving skills.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and interdisciplinary projects.

Candidate Requirements

  • A relevant degree in Product Design, Design & Technology, or a related field.
  • Recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
  • Experience teaching IB MYP/DP Product Design or equivalent curricula preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of design software, digital fabrication, and prototyping tools.
  • A commitment to student-centered learning and inquiry-based teaching methods.
