Warehouse OperativeEgham£25K - £28K per annum

My client is seeking an experienced Warehouse Operative to join their team in Egham. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager you will be supporting with the day-to-day warehouse and forklift operations for all freight & stock arrivals and departures. You will:

  • Maintain a safe working environment
  • Ensure all equipment and areas of the warehouse are clean, tidy and orderly
  • Carry out daily checks on all mechanical equipment to ensure they are safe to use
  • Assist with load and unloading of vehicles, checking against notes to ensure accuracy of receipt or dispatch of goods
  • Ensure the inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage
  • Report quality variances to the Warehouse Manager
  • Raise concerns/issues with Warehouse Manager as soon as they are noted
  • Book in of all incoming stock and storing in a safe manner
  • Pick and prepare products for shipping, ensuring the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped
  • Keep the warehouse secure, reporting any discrepancy in stock to the Warehouse Manager
  • Assist in all warehouse roles
  • Support with ad hoc driving of company van for local deliveries and collections
  • Create and process orders on the database

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have previous experience within a Warehouse role
  • Have good I.T Skills
  • Have previous experience on 3PL
  • Have a reach and counterbalance experience
  • Have a full clean driving license
  • Have a full Forklift license
  • Be a strong team player
  • Work well independently
  • Work well within a fast-paced environment
  • Have good numerical skills

Working hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm.
