Our client is expanding their accounts team and is seeking an Assistant Accountant to work alongside their Financial Controller. This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified professional looking to further their studies while gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic finance environment.As an Assistant Accountant, you will be an integral part of the finance team, focusing on key accounting processes such as month-end, balance sheet reconciliations, and managing accruals and prepayments. Your contributions will directly support the Financial Controller in maintaining the organisation’s finance's.Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute month-end closing procedures to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Support the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
  • Manage accruals and prepayments, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Collaborate with the Financial Controller to analyse financial performance and trends.
  • Assist in the development of budgets and forecasts.
  • Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting to meet organisational needs.
  • Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the finance function.
