This role involves supporting the Project Manager by taking charge of identifying necessary parts and equipment for project execution, organizing team activities, and ensuring efficient, safe work on client sites and in the workshop. The Process Projects Engineer will coordinate daily operations, working to fulfill both business and customer needs through high-quality, custom-designed, low-volume products that are tailored to client specifications.



Process Projects Engineer Job Overview





  • Take direction from the Project Engineer/Manager and oversee daily organization of self and team for specific projects, whether on client sites or in the workshop.
  • Track and report on targets and timelines, ensuring alignment with engineering and customer requirements.
  • Work alongside project engineers and team members to deliver complex projects on time, within budget, and at the required quality, adapting to any site-specific limitations.
  • Coordinate installation activities across multiple sites, managing various team roles to achieve project goals.
  • Schedule tasks to optimize production output, maintain efficiency, and minimize costs in line with engineering schedules.
  • Provide all necessary information regarding internal manufacturing requirements to the Project Manager in a timely manner to streamline design, purchasing, and manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure that teams have required materials and equipment, coordinating with purchasing to meet business and client specifications.
  • Oversee health and safety for teams on-site and in the workshop, addressing any non-compliance or areas for improvement.
  • Capture and communicate any project changes in scope or design back to the Project Engineer.
  • Understand project schedules and prioritize tasks to meet business goals.
  • Monitor team performance, quality, and development, recommending training opportunities to the Project Engineer.


Process Projects Engineer Job Requirements





  • Strong technical proficiency in process engineering and specialized machinery, ideally within a similar industry or setting.
  • Ability to independently lead installations, make decisions in the absence of engineering or managerial support, and keep projects moving forward.
  • 5 plus years' experience in a relevant production or engineering discipline.
  • Apprentice trained in a relevant mechanical engineering field.
  • Full and current British driving licence.
