The Role

As a Workshop Engineer (Semi-Skilled), you will primarily be involved in stripping down Terberg shunter units for salvage and scrap. This hands-on role is perfect for someone with motor or mechanical experience looking to develop their skills in a supportive, dynamic team environment. We’re seeking motivated individuals who are keen to grow, with opportunities to progress into more advanced repair work for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

Carefully remove parts from vehicles to identify salvageable components.
Safely operate machinery and hand tools while adhering to health & safety protocols.
Work closely within a team to support colleagues and maintain a tidy work area.
Perform a range of manual handling tasks and other duties as required.

Schedule:

Monday to Friday, day shifts
No weekends

What We're Looking For

Some mechanical experience and familiarity with tools such as axle stands and jacks.
A strong team player with good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
Eagerness to learn and develop in the role, with potential to progress into advanced repair work.
Forklift licence and crane operation experience are desirable.
