The Role

As a Yard Operative, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of vehicle movements on site. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Operating shunters and managing vehicle movement across the site
  • Planning and organising workflow to support the workshop
  • Assisting with loading/unloading vehicles for transport
  • Capturing photos of shunters pre and post-hire
  • Supporting general building maintenance and health & safety tasks
  • Collaborating across departments and contributing to projects
  • Operating a forklift (training available if needed)

What We're Looking For

  • A valid driving licence (HGV licence is a bonus)
  • Forklift licence (or willingness to train)
  • Strong initiative and effective time management skills
  • Positive communication and customer service mindset
  • Ability to adapt, prioritise, and plan effectively
