A leading FMCG company based in Elland, specialising in innovative and high-quality solutions. As part of our commitment to excellence and growth, we are looking to recruit a highly motivated and skilled Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team.

The Role:As a Multi Skilled Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment. Your responsibilities will include carrying out planned maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery to minimize downtime and improve efficiency. You will work across a variety of equipment, providing both electrical and mechanical support to ensure our production lines are running at peak performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine and reactive maintenance on a variety of production machinery.
  • Diagnose and repair both electrical and mechanical faults quickly and efficiently.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and improve machinery performance.
  • Assist with machinery installations and upgrades as needed.
  • Work closely with the production team to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Multi-skilled (mechanical and electrical), with a strong understanding of both disciplines.
  • Previous experience in a similar engineering role, ideally within a fast-paced manufacturing or packaging environment.
  • Proficient in fault finding and problem-solving on a wide range of machinery and systems.
  • Knowledge of PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and conveyor systems is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude to problem-solving.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A strong focus on health, safety, and quality standards.
