A Senior Accountant is sought to support a small but growing firm in Ellesmere Port. Managing first point of contact with each client and delivering the the day to day accounting requirements.

Description
- Client Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored accounting solutions.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Bookkeeping: Oversee day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including bank reconciliations, ledger maintenance, and VAT returns.
- Tax Compliance: Assist clients with tax planning and compliance, including the preparation of corporate tax returns and liaising with HMRC.
- Advisory Services: Provide clients with strategic financial advice to support their business growth and development.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with junior staff, providing guidance and mentoring to support their professional development.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, proactively seeking opportunities to improve processes and services.
Profile
A successful Senior Accountant should have:
- Professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, AAT (QBE also considered)
- Proven experience in a similar role within the Professional Services sector.
- Professional client engagement.
- Extensive knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in relevant accounting software.
- Able to support and coach junior team members
