The Candidate:

Must be able to work unsupervised in a busy environment. The candidate should be methodical, carrying out and supervising the throughput of a workshop which services industrial and contract customers.

  • Minimum 2 year experience of working in a fast paced environment
  • Effective organisational skills
  • Attention to detail and a high standard of work
  • Proven ability and aptitude as an electrician
  • Previously worked on distribution units and switch gear and knowledge of the construction industry is also desirable.
  • City & Guilds 2360/2330 Parts 1&2 – or equivalent
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation – or equivalent
  • BS7671 17th Edition Test & Inspection 2391 or equivalent is desirable

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Assembling and testing a wide range of electrical plant such as MDA and various switchgear and site temporary electrical products.
  • Technical supervisory knowledge so as to be able to work on own proficiently and carry out fault finding and service without supervision in the most efficient and economical manner.
  • Comply with Company Health & Safety Policy including carrying out general housekeeping to ensure work areas are tidy.

Benefits:

  • 20 days holiday rising to 25 days after 5 yrs.
  • Finish at 4 on a Friday.
