The Data Centre Engineer has responsibility for the delivery of all production IT services to the firm. Working closely with the Systems and IT Security managers, this person assures a high-quality service to end users. The Service Delivery Manager ensures Service Support and Service Delivery Processes are in place and managed effectively. As well as managing within the IT team, this is a "business facing" role, and requires the establishment and management of expectations within the firm and drives the IT Service Team to achieve those expectations to a high standard.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Drive complex projects or component phases of larger programs within time, budget and quality.
  • Should act as single point of responsibility for both customer and project / program team.
  • Build and manage relationship with customer CXO and CXO-1 level.
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional, cross-departmental, cross-company teams that are responsible for all aspects of a project, from initiation to closure.
  • Manage Project Schedule, Risks & Issues and Scope changes
  • Manage Project budget, including estimates, cost variance through managing project resources effectively.
  • Establish robust governance structure and perform periodic review of the program at multiple levels.
  • Provides clear and concise project communication; both written and verbal to stakeholder, client and project teams.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to add value existing engagement through automation, improving effectiveness etc.
  • Able to grow the account by spreading both depth and breadth of service offerings.
  • Take ownership of presales cycle and drive building of business proposal for the new opportunities.
  • Ideally should have background in managing programs in BFSI space.

Technical Skills Required

  • 8+ years of IT experience
  • Significant Experience in IT Service Manager role, Application support, development and digital projects
  • Experience in Training Management, People Skills, Resolving Conflict, Project Management, Office Experience - General, Reporting Skills, Verbal Communication, Administrative Writing Skills.
  • Excellent Customer Handling skill. Make periodic progress reviews with customer operations and leadership team.
  • Good understanding of process, methodology followed for different types of projects, project monitoring and controlling mechanism, reporting mechanism.
  • Should have experienced different models of delivery like onsite-offshore model etc.
  • Should be able to understand customer functional / technical requirement and assign tasks to the team members based on the skills.
  • Excellent Communication skills Assertive, forward looking, balanced view of the situation, convincing skills etc.
  • Should be able to control project cost, track and improve project profitability.
  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations at both tactical and strategic level of audience.
  • Good understanding of different pricing models, multiple contracts type etc.

Qualification:

  • Relevant Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Business Administration or equivalent or higher (IT related qualification may be required).
