Hays Health & Safety are seeking an experienced and passionate Environmental Advisor to join a dynamic team at a leading chemical manufacturing company based in Cheshire. This exciting role offers autonomy and the opportunity to make a significant impact on the organisation's environmental compliance, energy efficiency, and sustainability efforts.Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure efficient and cost-effective waste management.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and manage external and internal audits.
- Provide training on waste and energy management.
- Develop and implement new waste disposal routes.
- Lead ISO 14001 & ISO 50001 Management Systems.
- Support the development of behavioural management systems on site.
- Manage environmental permits and packaging compliance.
- Monitor and report emissions.
- Serve as a member of the SHE team, supporting the site SHE officer and assisting in Health & Safety activities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Strong knowledge and experience in environmental regulations, including waste and energy management, permitting, and reporting.
- Experience in a highly hazardous manufacturing environment (e.g., COMAH).
- Proficiency with ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 standards.
- NEBOSH or IOSH certification/membership.
- High energy and passion for environmental sustainability.
