As a Freight Forwarder, you’ll be at the heart of our logistics operations, ensuring smooth, efficient, and timely delivery of cargo to our customers. You’ll handle end-to-end logistics, liaising with colleagues, customers, and suppliers to keep things running smoothly. Here’s a breakdown of what your day-to-day will look like:

The Candidate

Experience in freight forwarding, particularly import and export operations.
Strong knowledge of multimodal logistics, especially sea and road freight.
Familiarity with Incoterms, Bills of Lading, and customs procedures.
Confidence in providing customer quotes and managing supplier relationships.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Outlook.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate Shipments: Ensure accurate preparation and dispatch of cargo from multiple locations, maintaining compliance and proper documentation for all stakeholders.
Multimodal Solutions: Use a mix of sea, road, rail, and air transport to meet customer needs.
Customer Service: Provide prompt responses to enquiries, draft quotations, and keep clients up to date with shipment progress.
Sales and Business Development: Spot and develop new sales opportunities within the logistics sector, helping to expand our business.
Documentation & Compliance: Ensure all shipping documents are prepared and compliant with regulations, including Bills of Lading (HBL & MBL).
Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with internal teams, including sales, finance, and operations, to ensure smooth operations across departments.
Liaise with External Partners: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, contractors, and industry bodies like BIFA, RHA, and Customs authorities.
Invoice Management: Work with the Head of Logistics to ensure accurate and timely invoicing of all shipments.
