We are seeking an Industrialisation Engineer to join our Engineering & Manufacturing department and bridge to gap between; Design, NPI and Production. The ideal candidate will bring a forward-thinking approach to the design, development, and optimisation of manufacturing processes.

Description

As our Industrialisation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in introducing new products for the defence sector.

You will support early design concepts with Design for Manufacture (DFM) workshops to developing processes and overseeing low-rate initial production, your efforts will ensure a seamless transition to full-rate production.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with design & manufacturing teams to ensure new products and processes are introduced efficiently and controllably.
  • Ensure designs can be manufactured continuously and at scale.
  • Establish and innovate production systems to enhance capabilities.
  • Introduce best-in-class practices based on Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
  • Lead Manufacturing Readiness Levels to ensure timely production with optimal processes, production lines, and tooling.
  • Develop initial manufacturing documentation including SOPs, process control card, PFMEAs, and control plans.
  • Initiate and implement new business practices leveraging industry knowledge.
  • Communicate industrialisation strategy and business plan actions to the team and relevant stakeholders.
  • Participate in development planning and training; maintain professional accreditation and stay updated with industry practices.

Profile

A successful Industrialisation Engineer should have:

  • A degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or a related field is desirable
  • Must have a background within New Product launch
  • Be able to produce PFMEA's in order to track projects from start to finish
  • A background within defence or aerospace
  • Must be able to pass Security Clearance
  • Full right to work in the UK
