Location:Ellesmere Port

Hours:Monday - Friday 8:30 am-5:00 pm

Salary:£12.21p/h

HRGO are currently recruiting for an Assembly Operative on a permanent basis.

Key Tasks:

  • Pneumatic and Hydraulic hoses testing
  • Offsite hose testing on customer sites and write reports on the outcome of tests
  • Advise if new hose is required or can be repaired
  • Operate the Laser Engraving Machine to engrave
  • To operate machinery such as swaging machines, hose cutters, shrink wrapping burners, pelleting machines, alongside basic power tools.
  • Assist in the creation of a safe and efficient working environment by supporting improvement activities.
  • Maintain and improve the 5's programme
  • Works according to standards and supports the optimisation of new work practices, setting new standards
  • Assist with all other aspects of the implementation of the Operating System and Key Health & Safety / Housekeeping tasks
  • Ensure the operation complies with all company and regulatory H&S requirements.
  • Ensure that housekeeping is maintained to agreed standards and related Management Controls are applied.

Key Wider Duties

  • Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance of the role. Training Funding will be available for appropriate training courses.
  • Production Operative Qualifications: Essential
  • Must be willing to work towards appropriate qualifications if not already held
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience of 'best practice' manufacturing techniques.
  • Good knowledge of industrial health and safety legislation/practice
  • Good knowledge of quality procedures/standards
  • Must be able to work on own initiative and without supervision
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks
  • Computer literacy is a distinct advantage - use of Office packages will be required.
  • Tig welding (not essential)
  • Knowledge of hose assembly and manufacture
