Production Manager, Ellesmere Port, up to £60k doeA fantastic opportunity for a Production Manager has arisen at this rapidly expanding, family run business. They are seeking a forward thinking, hardworking and adaptable individual to join them during an exciting period of growth.

Duties include;

  • Maximising production output for site
  • Monitor and report production metrics (KPIs) to ensure targets are met or exceeded
  • Coordinate with the supply chain, maintenance, and quality control teams to ensure seamless production operations
  • Ensure plant, equipment, and facilities are maintained correctly and are kept in good working order
  • Responsible for ensuring all site systems are kept in good working order
  • Carrying out routine plant and machinery inspections and maintenance
  • Defect management
  • Managing site improvement projects
  • Develop project plans, timelines and budgets
  • Ensure all production and engineering activities comply with safety regulations and environmental standards
  • Responsible for writing and updating Risk Assessments and PTW
  • Oversee the selection and management of contractors, vendors and suppliers
  • Product and process R&D
  • Identify areas for process improvements and implement continuous improvement initiatives
  • Oversight of Engineering team
  • Manage the allocation and utilisation of resources, including manpower, equipment and materials

What do I need to succeed in this role?

  • Degree level Engineering qualification (ideally Process or Mechanical)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Pro-active, problem-solving attitude
  • IOSH, NEEBOSH (or equivalent) qualifications advantageous
