QC Technical Manager (Horticulture, Agrochemical, Pesticides, Environmental)Salary- Competitive (DOE) Location- Ellesmere Port Russell Taylor group has a brand-new opportunity for a Technical Manager to join a Horticulture business in the Ellesmere Port area, specifically for the growing media production team. The role will involve leading and developing the technical and lab team and identifying new opportunities for new product development. If you're looking to join a rapidly expanding company, then look no further.The Role • Leading new product development within the organisation• Provide technical support for the professional and retail products.• Driving Continuous Improvement within the laboratory.• Managing regulation and formulation of new product development • Liaising with internal and external partners to ensure the successful progression on new products. • Managing the QC function and lab team- supporting project related work on the transition of new products from initial phase to production scalability. • Continually driving improvements and innovative technologies• Communicate with internal and external partners within the organisation.• Understanding consumer trends• Building and maintaining relationships with key suppliers • Responsible for the standard of testing, calibration, analysis of new and existing products, labelling, safety sheet and regulations. • Provide technical advice and support to the quality and customer service departments. The Person• Must have previous experience working in new product development. • Come from a background in Agriculture, Agrochemical, Horticulture, Pesticides, Chemicals, Environmental Science, Biology.• Experience of managing/leading/supporting a team.• Must be able to work alone and as part of a team.• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.• Will have excellent technical knowledge and work well with key stakeholders within the business.
