What will you do?

Lead and coach a team of Discipline Engineers and Project Support Specialists to ensure project assurance procedures are followed and developed according to industry best practices.
Define team members' roles and objectives, manage resource allocation, and coordinate training and development, managing both internal staff and external contractors as needed.
Ensure all work complies with company and UK legislative standards.
Manage a portfolio of projects, ensuring safety, timely delivery, and cost efficiency. Oversee contractor or external execution as needed.
Lead multi-disciplinary teams during project development and execution phases.
Develop and implement project governance processes and quality management systems.
Prepare investment proposals, estimate project costs, and manage budgets.
Ensure effective resource utilization and track project progress.
Responsible for health, safety, and environmental (HSE) management related to all projects. Develop and implement HSE plans.
Collaborate with the Procurement Supply & Management department to create project commercial strategies, manage engineering contracts, and oversee supply agreements. Act as the business lead for some term contracts.
Provide engineering and technical support where necessary.
Set the technical strategy and direction for the site's project delivery and maintenance systems.
Communicate effectively with external organisations to maintain and enhance engineering skills, standards, and techniques.
Promote process improvements, collaborative working, new technologies, and flawless start-up principles.
Maintain strong relationships with Production, Maintenance, Turnaround, and Project teams.

What will you need?

Engineering degree
Chartered status or equivalent
10+ years of post-graduate experience.
Extensive understanding of Project Delivery and COMAH regulations.
Experience in Oil & Gas or Chemical Manufacturing processes.
Demonstrated leadership experience.
Right to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship.
