A fantastic specialist SEMH provision in the Wirral Area (CH49) is looking for an outstanding Teaching Assistant who is Team-Teach trained to work with pupils with Social and Emotional Needs and Challenging Behaviour. The school also supports pupils with Autism therefore knowledge of working with Autism is an advantage. The ideal candidate must be patient and compassionate and have an excellent sense of humour. You must also be committed to implementing a consistent approach to the child's behavioural difficulties and encourage the provision of a positive classroom environment.
The school requires an outstanding Teaching assistant to join the team as soon as possible on a long-term contract with the opportunity to go permanent.
To be considered for this position, the ideal candidate will have:
- Team-Teach Training
- A minimum of 6 months’ experience in an educational establishment
- Strong behaviour management experience
- Knowledge of working with pupils with challenging behaviour.
- A calm, patient, and caring persona
- Excellent communication skills
- A good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines
- Experience in working with supporting students in their education on a 1:1 and a small group basis
