Role: Maintenance Team Leader - Mechanical Location: Ellesmere Port Type: PermanentSalary: £54,000 -£60,000 DOE Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-4pmRussell Taylor Group are looking to recruit a Maintenance Team Leader to join our client in Ellesmere Port. This role is critical in ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of mechanical systems and equipment through planned and preventative maintenance activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance team, managing schedules, liaising with external contractors, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.The Role:
  • Develop, implement, and manage the planned and preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure all maintenance tasks are executed in line with safety and operational standards to prevent unplanned downtime.
  • Monitor and update the CMS system to ensure that all tasks are properly logged, tracked, and closed in a timely manner.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring they are adequately trained and equipped to perform their tasks effectively.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the maintenance operations.
  • Encourage the team to continuously improve by pointing out areas that could use improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Oversee the store's operations to guarantee precise inventory management and tracking of all maintenance-related supplies.
The candidate:
  • Proven experience in mechanical maintenance, ideally in a COMAH environment.
  • Experience of using CMS systems
  • 3-5 years management experience
  • Previous experience in leading contractor teams
  • HNC in Mechanical Engineering would be an advantage
  • Experience liaising with contractors, obtaining quotes, and managing external suppliers and services.
  • NEBOSH or IOSH Certification (Desirable)
