- Develop, implement, and manage the planned and preventative maintenance schedules.
- Ensure all maintenance tasks are executed in line with safety and operational standards to prevent unplanned downtime.
- Monitor and update the CMS system to ensure that all tasks are properly logged, tracked, and closed in a timely manner.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring they are adequately trained and equipped to perform their tasks effectively.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the maintenance operations.
- Encourage the team to continuously improve by pointing out areas that could use improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
- Oversee the store's operations to guarantee precise inventory management and tracking of all maintenance-related supplies.
- Proven experience in mechanical maintenance, ideally in a COMAH environment.
- Experience of using CMS systems
- 3-5 years management experience
- Previous experience in leading contractor teams
- HNC in Mechanical Engineering would be an advantage
- Experience liaising with contractors, obtaining quotes, and managing external suppliers and services.
- NEBOSH or IOSH Certification (Desirable)
