At this continually growing manufacturing and distribution business, the Operations Manager is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Transport Scheduler to manage and coordinate the distribution across the UK.

As Transport Scheduler, the successful candidate will be responsible for planning and scheduling deliveries, optimising routes, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The Transport Scheduler will work closely with hauliers, sales teams, and customers to ensure smooth, cost-effective, and timely fleet operations.

Typical responsibilities will be to: -

  • Plan, schedule, and optimise delivery routes for efficient fuel distribution
  • Adjust schedules as needed to meet customer demands
  • Manage vehicle and driver resources to ensure delivery commitments are met
  • Liaise with the sales team and customers to accommodate delivery changes or requests
  • Coordinate ISO-tank imports and scheduling
  • Conduct haulier audits and manage incident reports and investigations
  • Negotiate and monitor haulier rates
  • Conduct performance reviews with hauliers

The successful candidate will: -

  • Have previous experience in vehicle planning and scheduling
  • Strong geographical knowledge of the UK
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
