Chroma Recruitment is partnering with a respected engineering company as they expand their in-house engineering team by hiring a Control SystemsEngineer.

This company is at the forefront of innovative projects, specialising in decarbonisation and renewable energy, while delivering bespoke automation, PLC/HMI programming, and cutting-edge solutions.

With an exciting portfolio of projects in 2025 and beyond, they are looking for a talented Control Systems Engineer to join their team and contribute to pioneering engineering solutions in the energy and industrial sectors.


Control Systems Engineer Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years experience in automation software systems.
  • Degree in Engineering/Computing or equivalent experience (time-served apprenticeship).
  • Expertise in PLC hardware and software (e.g., Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi).
  • Experience in integrating multiple sub-systems into automation systems.
  • Knowledge of gas analytical and metering systems is advantageous.

Key Activities
  • Develop functional, reliable automation software programs.
  • Collaborate with the commissioning team to conduct comprehensive software testing.
  • Provide guidance and training to Junior Engineers on best practices.
  • Work closely with on-site engineers to improve project standards, considering maintenance and decommissioning.
  • Support pre-FAT and FAT processes to resolve software-related issues.
