You will be working for a SME business based in Ellesmere Port, they are looking for an Finance Assistant, to report to the Finance Manager. They use Xero software and would consider someone with AAT 2/3 or QBE.
Main Duties:
To Manage Accounts Payable
- Receive, match, and post invoices/credit notes.
- Reconcile and agree statements; request documents not received.
- Handle enquiries and disputes.
- Collate payments
To Manage Accounts Receivable
- Issue customer invoices/credit notes.
- Issue statements at regular intervals.
- Handle enquiries and disputes.
- Manage receipt of documentation for non-UK transactions.
- Partner with third-party finance providers for credit control.
- Record receipts and payments in bank accounts (multi-currency).
- Reconcile bank accounts (multi-currency).
- Record and reconcile card accounts.
Other Duties
- Manage the general accounts mailbox in Outlook.
- Handle general post (small volume).
- Assist with ordering goods/services as required.
- Support the Finance Manager with collation and presentation of finance data.
- Assist with other duties as required.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Experience with export transactions and documentation.
- Familiarity with paperless finance office environments.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment (useful but not essential).
