Our Client has a requirement for a Piping Fabrication Shop Inspector/Representative, who will be required to work on a full-time contractor basis in Ellesmere Port.

Role Purpose:

  • Oversee piping fabrication work in a subcontractor's workshop during the fabrication phase.
  • Ensure all work meets project specifications, standards, and safety protocols.
  • Resolve technical issues at the source to maintain project timelines and efficiency.

Job Role Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine inspections and quality audits to verify compliance with welding procedures and standards.
  • Monitor fabrication schedules and communicate progress to the EPCM project team.
  • Assist in resolving technical issues and approving piping assemblies for compliance.
  • Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular safety audits.
  • Maintain detailed records of inspection activities and prepare progress reports.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for communication between stakeholders.

Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of piping fabrication processes, codes, and standards.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills for effective coordination with subcontractors.
  • Proactive problem-solving abilities to address fabrication and quality issues.
  • Strong organizational skills for documentation and reporting.
