We're seeking a Lead Engineer with a passion for problem-solving, continuous improvement, and driving results. This is an excellent opportunity to take the lead in an exciting environment where you'll have the freedom to innovate, optimise production, and improve systems and processes while managing a talented engineering team.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Use your technical expertise to ensure our production site is running at its full potential, hitting or exceeding performance targets.
  • Monitor and analyse key production metrics and use them to drive improvements in efficiency and productivity.
  • Work closely with supply chain, maintenance, and quality control to keep our production line running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Ensure all machinery and equipment are maintained in top working order, managing routine inspections, maintenance, and defect resolution.
  • Lead site improvement initiatives from start to finish-develop project plans, manage timelines and budgets, and deliver tangible results.
  • Ensure all production and engineering activities meet safety regulations and environmental standards-keeping everyone safe and compliant.
  • Identify new opportunities for process optimisation, and lead research and development projects to improve our production methods.
  • Oversee the Engineering team, guiding and managing resources to ensure manpower, equipment, and materials are used efficiently and effectively.

Requirements

  • A strong technical foundation, coupled with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Leadership experience within a production or engineering environment, with a track record of driving results.
  • Outstanding communication and organisational skills to manage multiple moving parts and teams.
  • IOSH, NEEBOSH or equivalent safety qualifications are advantageous.
