Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support educators in delivering high-quality education to students, particularly those with special educational needs, including autism. Responsibilities
- Assist teachers in the planning and implementation of educational activities tailored to the needs of students.
- Provide one-on-one support to children with autism and other special educational needs, ensuring they are engaged and participating in classroom activities.
- Facilitate tutoring sessions to reinforce learning concepts and skills.
- Communicate regularly with teachers regarding student progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Mentor students, encouraging their social and emotional development while promoting positive behaviour.
- Help create a safe and supportive classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Assist in the preparation of classroom materials and resources.

Experience
- Previous experience working with children, particularly those with autism or special educational needs, is highly desirable.
- A background in education or tutoring is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with students and staff.
- Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and understanding while working with diverse learners.
- Experience in mentoring or supporting peers in an educational setting is a plus.
