Contek are working with a small engineering team commutable around the Loughborough/Coalville area in Leicester. Through growth and busy periods we are looking for an experienced Manual machinist to join the team on a permanent basis.
They are typical sub-contract engineers, providing one off & small batches to various sectors includingAerospace, Concrete, Plastics, Gas & Food industries to name but a few.
Working hours are 39, Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4.00pm and Friday 7.30am to 3.00pm. Overtime may be available from time to time.
The ideal candidate for this Manual Machinist position will:
- Have experience ideallyworking onmilling machines, lathes and a borer (horizontal and vertical).
- Working on machinery including Bridgports and Colchesters.
- Previously have manufactured within sub-contract environments.
- Have worked with a wide range of materials including brass, PB1, steel, stainless steel and plastics
- Be able to work in a standalone role and unsupervised
- Reading of engineering drawings and knowledge of geometric tolerances
