LGV Driver/ Class 2 Refuse DriverEllonTemporary for an initial 6 week period£12.00 per hour increasing to £13.84 if extended beyond 12 weeksMonday - Thursday 7.00am to 4.45pmOur public sector client located in Inverness is looking for an LGV driver on a temporary basis starting immediately.Main purpose of the role:To work collaboratively as a professional driver acting as a responsible person with a crew to carry out all duties involved with refuse collection, bulky uplifts, bin deliveries, and other driving jobs. Periodically, working as a loader may be required, and from time to time, manual lifting will be required to assist crew team members.Key Duties:
  • To drive Refuse/Recycling Vehicles on designated routes and the transportation of waste and the deposition of waste at the appropriate facility
  • To provide guidance of the crew working from your vehicle
  • Collection and safe disposal of fly tipping, bulky items, animal carcasses
  • Periodically load Refuse/Recycling Vehicles, or other vehicles as required
  • Deliver/uplift waste bins, litterbins, recycling bins
  • Responsible for the Health and Safety of passenger(s) and overall Health and Safety as that relates to the operation of a vehicle
  • Any other work as directed by your Foreperson
Requirements:
  • Preferably clean LGV licence
  • Current CPC, and Tacho Card
  • Complete understanding of all legal responsibilities that come with an LGV licence
  • Good general education
  • Proven ability to work within a team environment and proven ability to take the initiative within that environment
  • Ability to communicate and trouble shoot vehicle issues to the workshop and Forepersons in a precise manner
  • Good communication skills and client facing skills
  • Proven awareness of Health and Safety in a dangerous environment
