Area Sales Engineer Aberdeen Remote with travel.

Purpose of the jobTo plan and carry out sales activities across all product categories to new and existing customers to maintain and develop sales of services through our network of service centres. In addition to these functions employees are required to carry out such other duties as may reasonably be required.Main tasks and responsibilities

  1. Researching the specified region and identifying new sales leads for pump, electro-mechanical and turbo service sales
  2. Meeting with customers over the phone, email, or on site to assist in aspects of business development
  3. Making presentations and demonstrating how our products/service meet client needs
  4. Managing and interpreting customer requirements - speaking with clients to understand, anticipate and meet their needs
  5. Generating sales proposals and contracts
  6. Maintaining the CRM to show customer communication and sales activity
  7. Maintaining a healthy and up to date pipeline of opportunities within the CRM
  8. Working with the engineering team/Service Centres to ensure development schedules and deliveries are being met
  9. Attending and/or participating in trade shows, conferences and other marketing events
  10. Ensure that the Sulzer sales process is adhered to and the sales funnel for your respective region is maintained, updated and managed in accordance with process requirements
  11. Ensure delivery of key KPI's, such as: customer visits per week, order intake, number of new customers obtained, conversion of enquiries to order, profitability, response to enquiry time
  12. Attend training to develop relevant knowledge and skills
  13. Developing and growing long-term relationships with customers
  14. Negotiating tender and contract terms to meet both client and company needs
  15. Meeting/exceeding sales targets
  16. Support marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other relevant event
