Manual Machinist / Manual Turner / Lathe Operator / Turret Mill Operator shall be operating manual lathes and mills to manufacture components from drawing, working to specific tolerances and time frames, and ensure all parts are available for the assembly process in their Norwich site.
Manual Machinist / Manual Turner / Lathe Operator / Turret Mill Operatorwill ideally have experience with manual lathes, manual machine tools, turret mills and centre lathes, with experience in reading technical drawings, setting up machines, and ensuring adherence to tight tolerances.

- Operate manual lathes and mills to produce and repair precision parts in the workshop based in Norwich.
- Perform accurate centre lathe turning for component manufacturing and repair.
- Use metrology equipment to ensure precise measurement and compliance with specifications.
- Conduct repairs, maintenance, and installations on mechanical systems, including blower and vacuum pump systems.
- Participate in training for additional skills
- Liaise with various engineering departments
- Experience with manual lathes, centre lathes, manual machine tools, turret mills, mechanical assemblies, metrology equipment.
- Proven experience with manual machine tools such as lathes and mills, and mechanical assemblies.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in using metrology equipment for precision measurement.
- Apprenteship or engineering qualification in mechanical or machining disciplines is advantageous.
- Reading technical drawings, setting up machines, and ensuring adherence to tight tolerances is essential.
- Ability to lift to 25kg and perform repetitive tasks, with a focus on safety and quality.
- Commutable to the workshop at their Norwich site.
