Salary: £47,000 - £50,000.

Shifts: 

  • Week 1: Monday - Thursday - 6am – 3:30pm. Friday 6am - 4pm
  • Week 2: Monday - Thursday, nights 6pm - 6am

As a Maintenance Engineer, your role includes:

  • Address both mechanical and electrical engineering maintenance challenges throughout the factory.
  • Execute planned maintenance, breakdown repairs, and condition monitoring activities for plant and equipment.
  • Keep operations staff informed about machine breakdown statuses.
  • Manage and execute departmental-based projects.
  • Proactively identify and implement improvements in operational machine and resource efficiencies, considering their impact on other departments
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the department.
  • Collaborate with operations staff on daily operational engineering-related matters and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Explore innovative ways to reduce costs by streamlining processes and systems.

Required Experience:

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.
  • Strong electrical fault-finding experience.
  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 in electrical or mechanical engineering is required.
