- Position: Financial Controller
- Location: Ely
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Salary: Competitive
- Experience required: Previous experience in a sole finance role or small team, proven experience in month end reporting, bank reconciliations, VAT returns, year end processes, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Must be comfortable working in a fast paced environment.
This position will be 40 hours per week, hybrid working is also offered in this position.
Reporting into the Managing Director this is a stand alone finance position which will take responsibility for the day to day running of the main trading company, holding company and smaller sister companies, the main duties are as follows -
- Month end reporting including accruals, prepayments, balance sheet recs, fixed asset register updates and project reporting.
- Bank reconciliations and cashflow management
- Quarterly VAT returns
- Liaising with the external accountant to agree accounts for the year
- Process year end adjustment journals
- Run the year end process on Xero and Sage
- Accounts Payable - processing supplier invoices, reconciling supplier statements and payment runs.
- Accounts Receivable - Raise customer invoices and aged debtors reporting.
The ideal candidate will have worked previously in a sole finance role or within a small team, you must have proven experience in all areas of the above duties and be comfortable working in a busy fast paced environment.
