Private Client Tax Senior Ely Salary £35,000 - £50,000

Butler Rose is assisting our client, a prominent and well-established firm of chartered accountants, seeking a Tax Senior to join its Ely office. This role is ideal for someone with experience in tax compliance and a keen eye for detail, particularly for personal tax clients and trusts. The role combines compliance and advisory responsibilities, offering opportunities for professional growth.

Role Responsibilities

• Preparation and submission of self-assessment tax returns, including detailed capital gains computations and schedules of income from property.
• Completion and submission of 60-day CGT returns and associated advisory work.
• Monitoring tax cycles to ensure deadlines are met.
• Preparation of IHT100 forms for trusts and CGT on UK property returns.
• Assisting with the Statutory Residence Test reviews and tax filings for non-resident individuals.
• Provide tax planning advice, particularly regarding Inheritance Tax and trust-related matters.
• Assist with ad-hoc advisory projects, including property transactions and trust registration service.
• Support Partners on complex client matters, including acquisitions and reorganisations.
• Manage your own portfolio of clients, ensuring regular contact and high-quality service.
• Develop client relationships through meetings, telephone, and electronic communication.
• Identify opportunities for additional services.
• Provide technical guidance to colleagues and support cross-departmental projects.
• Actively contribute to business development initiatives.

Personal Requirements

• ATT qualified or qualified by experience, with an interest in pursuing CTA qualifications.
• Strong technical knowledge and experience in trusts and personal tax compliance.
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex matters clearly and effectively.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Commercially minded, with a focus on client satisfaction and business growth.
