Senior Hardware Design Engineer

Salary: up to £65kLocation: Witchford (near Ely), CambridgeshireType: Permanent, Full-Time

Are you a skilled Senior Hardware Design Engineer looking for an opportunity in the digital video and AI/ML technology industry? Our research and development team is looking for an experienced engineer to play a critical role in the design and development of embedded computer and digital video products. This is a chance to work at the forefront of technology, collaborating with a dynamic team of Electronics and Software Engineers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hardware design for new product development from feasibility to production
  • Schematic design using Cadence/OrCAD/Altium software
  • PCB layout review and design documentation preparation
  • Support throughout the product development lifecycle including prototyping, functional testing, and validation
  • Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to define customer solutions and offer support
Required Skills:
  • 5+ years of experience in high-speed digital design
  • Proficient in interfaces such as PCIe, USB, Ethernet, SPI, I2C, and serial communication protocols
  • Familiarity with video interfaces (e.g., HDMI/DVI, HD-SDI, DP, VGA, Composite)
  • Hands-on experience with programmable logic, FPGA, microcontrollers, and multilayer high-speed PCB design
  • Proficiency in C/C++ programming
  • Degree-qualified with strong working knowledge of MS Office applications
