Job Title: Trade SupervisorLocation: Ely / HertfordContract: Permanent Hours: 40 hours Salary: £41,603 - £43,793 plus van  Job Summary:We have an opportunity for a Trade Supervisor to join our team based in Welwyn Garden City. As Trade Supervisor you will cover different sites across the Hertford, Ely and the surrounding areas and your daily activities will include coordinating the operatives on repairs/installation and organizing the team to work on all stock across the region, reacting to and dealing with emergencies as they arise. You will be provided with a company van and will have opportunities to develop your career. Responsibilities
  • Overseeing day to day repairs and voids, ensuring they are carried out to a high standard
  • Inspecting works completed to ensure these represent value for money e.g. efficient use of materials
  • Maintaining compliance for health and safety, ensuring this is promoted and adhered to
  • Handling complaints and breakdowns in service to meet customer expectations
  • Working with colleagues to ensure work is arranged, prioritized and completed in an efficient manner
  • Included in an out of hours rota as supervisor contact a minimum of once every 8 weeks
 Person Specification
  • To ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to NVQ Level 3 in a core trade subject, plus ILM membership (The Institute of Leadership) or currently undertaking the qualification. If you have a lower level qualification along with practical experience and would be prepared to undertake this qualification we would still welcome an application
  • Recent experience of undertaking a similar role, preferably within a building maintenance or facilities management environment
  • Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation
  • Proven experience of working to deadlines and prioritising workloads
  • Basic user of Microsoft Office packages, specifically Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook (or similar)
  • This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
