SALARY: £38,000 - £45,000 per annum + Benefits

LOCATION: Ely, Cambridgeshire (CB6)

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 6am and 6pm (Due to the nature of this role, some work is required outside of normal hours)

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Senior Maintenance Engineerwith good troubleshooting, fault-finding and repair skills and experience within a production environment preferablywith vacuum, pneumatics, electronics, high voltage, flammable gases, workshop equipment and woodwork skills.

Working as the Senior Maintenance Engineer you will be part of the Engineering Team and will play a key role supporting production. The role will be to ensure that production equipment is maintained and that any breakdowns are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner. You will also be required to support in the general day to day maintenance of the buildings and their infrastructure that makes up the company.

As the Senior Maintenance Engineer, you would be responsible for machinery maintenance and breakdowns, and support with all facilities maintenance and fabrication.

You will be working closely with the other engineers, and will help them develop their skills with vacuum, pneumatics, high voltage, PLC, furnaces, glass working lathes and many other unique pieces of equipment.

DUTIES

Your duties as a Senior Maintenance Engineer will include:

Machinery maintenance

  • Repairing machine breakdowns
  • Planned maintenance - oil changes, air filter cleaning etc
  • Modifications to machinery

Facilities maintenance

  • Basic plumbing and electrics
  • Painting and decorating
  • Cable and pipe routing
  • Furniture repairs and assembly

Fabrication

  • Sheet metal and plastics
  • Extruded frame assembly

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Good troubleshooting, fault-finding and repair skills
  • Previous experience in a similar Production / Maintenance / Machinery Repair environment
  • Experience with vacuum, pneumatics, electronics, high voltage, flammable gases, workshop equipment and woodwork skills would be beneficial
  • Basic plumbing and electrical skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Practical
  • Have an adaptable hands-on approach to your workload
